In recent years, more and more people tend to live individually. What are the causes of this trend? Does this have a positive or negative effect on society?

Model Answer

For a long time, man is regarded as a social animal, but in the era of globalization, this statement seems to be contradictory. It has made it possible for people to find jobs in nearly all parts of the world. To reshape their careers, youngsters leave their homes and live alone abroad, where their earnings are huge; so they are ready to take their responsibilities. This essay will elaborate on both the positive and the negative development of living away from family.

To commence with the positive school of thought, I must say: living alone enhances freedom and creativity. When you live alone, you become more self-dependent. It makes you more responsible from a personal and business perspective. Living alone gives you acute privacy. When we live alone, the focus is on the development of our personality. We love to spend upon holiday making, outdoor activity as compared to a couple of counterparts.

Moving towards the second school of thought, living an isolated life from their families cannot build a cohesive society. We learn life protocols like sharing, spending, tolerating, and loving our parents, siblings, and spouses. It enhances the sense of belongingness. We learn how to live for others only in a family. It teaches us how to forget, forgive, enjoy happiness, and celebrate together only when we are living with our family members.

In a closing remark, I must say undoubtedly, living alone enhances your personal development but living in togetherness offers physical, mental, moral, and social development.
